Bet when its owner farts, it makes no sound.

Our Bichon "Indy" was the finest dog we ever had. Gorgeous, great with children and family, very intelligent, fun dog, easy to train, loyal, and they are hypo allergenic: have hair instead of fur, hardly shed at all so the breed is perfect for those who are usually alergic to dogs. He also made a wonderful watch dog, notifying us immediately if anyone came around.

The only "downside" was the breed is a little high maintenance. Regimine: lightly brush daily to maintain the "poof" look found in the picture and once every month to two a visit to the groomers. Apart from this and normal visits to the vets that's it.

Our dog looked like the posted picture only a little apricot in color. He lived 15 plus years and is sorely missed.

If you are looking for a super family dog this breed should be high on your list.

I see a few of these dogs now and then on my walk with my mutt. Yappy little things, a lot of false bravado, kind of like a chihuahua.

Yeah, I run into a lot of aggressive little dogs while walking my 150# Mastador, two of them are Bichons or a Bichon mix, when their owners don't control them and they start at my dog who is as mellow as they come I say to My dog in a clear loud voice "Are you ready for breakfast boy?" and for some reason the owner of the little dog suddenly has the ability to control it. Go figure?

But back to the subject, good looking dog that won, my DIL had one.

Haha my bichon is so mellow with all dogs and his best friend is a great dane in a pony’s jacket, as that is the only jacket that fits the Dane.

We were very fortunate, our two sons had him during most of their formative years. Great breed for families and children.
