I love it.
I figured it would be the Crossroads Guitar Festival 2007 version, that is as good as it ever will get.
Blind Faith. Great album
Amazing performance of a beautiful song. Thanks.

They had talent to burn, and at such a young age. Clapton was 24, Winwood was 21.
Thank you Rooster! Good memories...
Could be used as Hillary Clinton’s theme song.
Probably my favorite from the whole Cream/Traffic/Blind Faith era. An epic performance!
And if you want a different kind of thrill of the same magnitude, don’t miss this version - just a guy in his barn with his guitar...

Great version of “John Barleycorn” too.
this song has been a favorite of mine since it was on Blind Faith’s album in maybe 1969.... Winwood and Clapton coincidentally enough being two of Blind Faith’s founders. 40 years of practice and they have it down pat.
Wow that is beautiful.
Saw and heard Steve Winwood last fall, one short step above Elton John as best show ever.
Awesome performance of an amazing song!
That was awesome. Thank you.

I saw Elton a long time ago. Just him, a grand piano, and a guy playing percussion instruments. He played for 3-1/2 hours and was absolutely amazing. It was at the Auditorium Theater in Chicago.

Eric Clapton To Team With Santana, Steve Winwood & Gary Clark Jr. In London

I like Clapton in Cream and this song was in a project after Cream’s break up. Kind of lost me at that point.
I saw Clapton play on April 30 1983 in St. Jakobshalle in Basel (Switzerland) on his MONEY AND CIGARETTES tour. That was perhaps one of the worst live performances I ever saw in my life. He played just short of 1:30 minutes. So disappointed.
Several weeks later went and saw Carlos Santana in the Hallenstadion in Zurich, Switzerland. My right ear was ringing for more than a day having stood close to right side of the stage. in contrast was a great live performance.

Liner notes from a Spencer Davis Group album - “Steve Winwood has been called the white Ray Charles”. (I’d like to see that published today!)
Pretty good band right there. I’ve seen Clapton, Winwood and Trucks live but never together for such a great song.
Hes no Duane Allman, but I reckon hell do in a pinch. :-)
You can have both Duane and Eric in “Layla”.
