This is one of the things I liked about Trump and Cruz at the time.
I was a Cruz man for the simple reason that I didn’t trust Trump. Funny thing is that in his actions as president he’s proven to be more conservative than Reagan.
With Cruz we would have gotten politics as usual, with a slight, barely perceptible, turn to the right.
We needed Trump. It is an amazing thing to watch.
I like Trump, but Cruz’s action show he would have followed a similar path. Cruz is not the enemy, just as I am not your enemy.
Cruz lost me when he jumped on the Yeb/Kasich bandwagon in Chicago blaming Trump for the left wing rioting. He could have used it to attack the left/Soros/Marxists in the streets, but he didn’t.
During the primaries, may father lamented the fact that we had to choose the lesser of all evils. He wished we had another Washington to run.
I told him Washington couldn’t win the nomination in this climate. We needed someone like Trump. And luck.
My father has come to agree.
Cruz is now making little noises that almost seem to indicate he is thinking of another run down the road as he decries the President's willingness to work on DACA in the actual real world.
You mean like when Cruz went down with crazy Glenn Back to hand out teddy bears to the "children" entering our country illegally? I think perhaps you may have misread Cruz.
