I’m curious about all the African art of the same period, is it all just Old dead Black Males and Females? Should we be outraged because Whites aren’t represented more? And please no slave stuff, that would be represented much more by images of muslims.

There is a group of artists who are bringing back classical painting. Much of the knowledge has been lost since the influence of modernism destroyed art schools in late 19th and 20th centuries, but there are ateliers being set up to recover knowledge and teach what has been lost.

Jacob Collins is one of the best of these artists and teachers, I think.
