The meta-message of the painting seems to be "let the white folks in flyover country eat cake" but I guess that is called "social justice" these days. :-(

Keeping it real.....they're odd portraits. A portrait conveys the inner depths of a person. President Obama almost overwhelmed by an environmentally lush background. Huh???? Michelle's "toned" athletic shoulders fully exposed, and jumping out against the almost colorless background and white dress? It made me think of a turkey leg photographed on a white tablecloth. There are fashion designs that flatter her; that isn't one of them.
