We have tasers and passed the flip phones to iPhones, computers, skype for long distance face to face conversation. My guess is we have right now all of that technology, including medical, just not available to the public.
Actually, there have been rumors for some time that we do have a “TRICORDER” that can assess medical conditions much as that unit in Star Trek.
... but still no warp drive! ;-)
