United Airlines to Guantanamo Bay?

Is there a United Airlines check in counter at Shanghai airport? Or is he asking about the Vietnam airport? Was the pic of the plane in Vietnam a United Airlines flight?

Why is this relevant?

Because we can find out where the plane flew to? It would be important to know if the people arrested in Shanghai were transported to Gitmo.

I had thought the Shanghai flight went to Vietnam from the other pic of the airport. But I didn't think that would be the ultimate destination.

Would it have stopped for fuel in Vietnam on the way to Guantamo and maybe to pick up additional passengers?

And would we be able to ascertain Guantanamo as destination from the Shanghai boarding desk? Certainly they would be more secretive about Guantamo as ultimate destination?

Pretty much it seems - presumably there's a United Airlines flight from Terminal 2 [T2] at Shanghai Pudong International Airport in Shanghai, China (PVG) - that may have then gone to Vietnam -> Cuba, destination Gitmo. 3 airports I’ve heard referred to with the associated pics were: Shanghai, Vietnam, and Washington Dulles - all 3 have United counters. I believe only Shanghai and WD have that many letters though. The runway picture was matched by an anon to Vietnam, but I believe the method used relies on international standards that may apply at most large intl airports.

United ticketing is in the M-L section of the main lobby. However the photos with the arched roof match Shanghai international terminal and not Dulles. See Shanghai: http://www.globalphotos.org/shanghai-airport.htm

The L terminal in Shanghai checks in KLM, Air France, and Sri Lankan airlines. I do not see a permanent UA ticket called out on the airport map. It could be a codeshare through KLM or AF. Yes, there is a United Airlines check in counter at the Shanghai airport, flew Unied from SFO to Shanghai a few years ago.
