And the first question a modish Air Force pilot will ask: “Does this fuel tank make my butt look big? “

Fewer F-15 squadrons around that have to cover more area performance hit or not.

Are we buying any F-15SE Silent Eagles?

They have a 2,400 Mile Range right out of the box.

The F-15c is still the second-best fighter in the world.

I love jets, but I love my country more. The F-22 and the F-35 were never needed. The F-16 was more than adequate, and for the price of the F-22 we could have 5,000 F-16s ready for battle today with upgraded weapons and guidance systems.

Persistent air dominance...

I envision a pilot punching an isis guy in the face over and over and over...

The CFTs could also help free up space and minimize drag for Eagles carrying large networking systems, like the Talon Hate pod...

Can't we all just get along?

Wow! That’s awesome that they’re making the best of a proven fighter instead of praying that the F-35 can do everything that every other aircraft can do.

Conformal Fuel Tanks have been around forever. I guess the new ones are just bigger and have more options.

Bayou Militia? When we used to go down there and bump heads with them they were “The Coonass Militia.”

Persistent Air Dominance
. . . was the mission of the F-111 -which, according to test pilot Don Evans) was, however, “a fine airplane. As long as you didn’t get into it thinking it was a fighter” - and then of the F-14, which indeed was a fighter.

Without conformal tanks, the F-15 is a fighter - but with only about 2/3 of the fuel capacity of the F-14. The question is, “with conformal tanks installed, is the F-15 still a fighter?"
