Does President Trump Now Have the Authority to FIRE Government Employees? Going back it was very difficult to fire a Government employee. They were suspended, but not fired, exceptin rare cases. Which leads to the question, why is Peter Strzok and Lisa Page still employed by the FBI?

No. Civil Service laws are still in effect.Conduct removals require only 30 days notice. Strzok, Page, Page and all the rest should have been fired.

Nope. Youd have to break the unions first. Do that, and a LOT of problems (including some deficit issues) go away over night.Nope. They can be fired for bad conduct. 30 days notice is required.

Nope - he can fire those he appoints but not delve into the lower levels.Nope.
A common misperception is that federal, state and local government employees can't be fired from their jobs despite poor performance or misconduct. This is untrue. According to the United States Merit Systems Protection Board, a federal agency that oversees appeals filed by fired civil servants, the federal government terminated almost 12,000 federal employees in 2009.

Explain how Reagan dumped the air traffic controllers. They violated the law with an illegal strike.

all federal employess can be fire switching the executive branch by the president through his cabinet and managers.
It is easier with political appointments.

I know that - I have fired several DoD Civilians - just saying the President doesn’t personally reach down into the levels.

This new gang violated the law by first obstructing an election and then interfering with Executive Branch operations.
