The opening ceremonies haven't been held, but figure skating started today!
Mr. RooRoo is semi-suicidal, he HATES figure skating.
All snarky color commentators, please weigh in!!!!
I'll throw out the first pitch: The second male skater (from Germany I believe) chose a HORRIBLE costume, he had big yucky armpit sweat stains, it was hard to focus on anything else.

I enjoy watching the female skaters - they have the most amazing legs.....
Probably won’t watch much if any of the Olympics, but if I do watch the women skate I hope there won’t be any hairy pretend women competing.

How bout combining speed skating with shooting? The possibilities are endless.

You could do something like "Cowboy Mounted Shooting" (which I enjoy watching) except instead of being on a galloping horse, you're on skates! I might even watch something like that.

It is not unusual for games to start prior to the opening. But I think it’s pretty new to show any before the opening.
And I hope the events don’t turn into a showcase of public vomitoria.

Canada had a superb short program and moved into first place!
A well deserved performance, beautifully done.
Looks like they will take the gold medal.
