I signed up for disqus and all of a sudden I was getting all these hateful emails from a bunch of people I did not know. Freaked me out and I got out immediately.

Well you do get some hate posts back if you disagree with certain folks here. I know, I’ve been the object of some of their less-kindly replies.

I had the same hing happen to me when I first went on to some of the disqus supported sites and began making comments.

What you need to do is in the Profile tab you have to select the Privacy box. Otherwise these thugs will see EVERY post/comment you make and start attacking you. By selecting the privacy box they cannot see where and what you are posting at other sites.

Now if a I get a troll start spamming me at a specific site I just block that individual.

Just hit the “block” button and you’ll never hear from them again. There are a lot of conservatives on there and when a hate post comes along they’re all over that person. I read posts on articles from Breitbart and Newsbusters and some other sites.

How do you get out of disqus? I can’t find a way out. There is supposed to be a delete command in my profile, but it has disappeared.
