a 10 year old who’s favorite game is Call of Duty???
I have no issue if she wants to take him shooting, but to have a 10 year old mind conditioned to be stimulated by simulated killing is an epic Parental Fail... that I see happening all over our society
I have never played COD or pretty much any other video game since 'Pong' maybe 35 years ago. Ok, I have played games on rare occasion in an arcade with my kid, but was just never into video gaming. That said, when COD came out, I thought it was actually billed as an Army recruiting tool. Something to generate interest the Army from teenagers. Maybe I misremember?
My son taught me to play Call of Duty when he was 10 but he never really played the game. He preferred the Star Wars games.
You have that right!
As a 56 year old man, I hesitantly admit that I play Call of Duty. I can’t tell you how many child voices I hear while playing which is why I mute everything out most of the time. Today’s parents are woefully ignorant or too self absorbed in themselves.
You shoot somebody and they respawn. Doesn’t happen that way in the real world... Kid’s playing these games get a warped view on what really is the reality of being shot or shooting somebody else.
