Its what scientists have termed a grand minimum a particularly low point in what is otherwise a steady 11-year cycle. Over this cycle, the Suns tumultuous heart races and rests.
At its high point, the nuclear fusion at the Suns core forces more magnetic loops high into its boiling atmosphere ejecting more ultraviolet radiation and generating sunspots and flares.
When its quiet, the Suns surface goes calm. It ejects less ultraviolet radiation.
Now scientists have scoured the skies and history for evidence of an even greater cycle amid these cycles.

I hope not.
Oh noes! Solar Coolings! Anthropogenic, of course because everything is out fault.
I see another Nobel prize in the works here as soon as Algore makes a fakemovie to tell us about how he predicted this.
And then there’s global dimming.
Global dimming is thought to have been caused by an increase in particulates such as sulfate aerosols in the atmosphere due to human action.
It has interfered with the hydrological cycle by reducing evaporation and may have reduced rainfall in some areas. Global dimming also creates a cooling effect that may have partially counteracted the effect of greenhouse gases on global warming.
Whenever “researches” start making assessments concerning the galaxy, it’s usually the opposite. Break out your sun screen- we’re going to get scorched.
Hey Man! That Sun is like, so unusually cool. It blows me away!
It should be wearing those dark, dark shades.
It’s not easy. Being unusually cool. Most folks just don’t understand.
solar cooling is CAUSED by solar cells, you see the photons we absorb with solar cells causes quantum entanglement to the photons in the sun stealing precious enegy from them causing the sun to cool down!!!!
ALL OUR FAULT!!!
HUMANS SUCK!!!
Imagine a very deep solar minimum coupled with several very large volcanic eruptions leaving particulates in the atmosphere.
That would be a fascinating occurrence.
The Trump Minimum as Gore and his disciples will surely blame President Trump.
It’s the Maunder Minimum. We are do for a mini ice age
And reading this article (Yes, I really did!), they still insist that the cooling will still be outpaced by anthropological global warming. Seriously? In all of this they are talking 0.25 degree C changes over 50 years!
Actually the supposed global cooling has nothing to do with anything man made. So the entire anti American made up Algore nonsense that we had with global warming is not what is going on here.
The math for the sun’s cycles has been very accurate for a long time, we are heading for a minimum similar to the mini ice age.
Yep, for the next 50-60 years. Some solar scientists predict much longer. Read up on the Little Ice age from the 1600s.
It won’t be cold all year round, just more severe winters, lingering cold spells, etc.
And one of these millenniums we will get the whole 110,000 years of full Ice Age. brrrr
Not anthropogenic but conservatogenic, caused exclusively by right wing nut jobs and exacerbated by trumpogenic factors. You and I and Fox News are exclusively to blame.
Liberals will be driving 12 mpg SUVs, junk their Teslas and Leafs, burn wood in their gas fireplaces, burn trash in their back yards, fart as much as possible, eat nothing but meat for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night snacks, bulldoze national forests, and whatever else it takes to stave off the scourge of solar cooling!
I like the climate. I hope it doesnt cool significantly. I hate snow.
Life becomes cold, short and brutal
Seriously, I have remarked several times that it seems not as bright outside in the summer.
I thought it was just me.
