The article does give some sources, such as USA today, and The Institute for Missing and Exploitive Children.

The article also states that it is about 100,000 children - compared to our population of over 325,000,000, I guess you can just shrug and say it’s not widespread.

I know that the Pedo and Sex Trafficing rings arrested was 3000 shortly after Trump took office. I haven’t been tracking to see what it is now.

Operation Spade took down a trafficking ring that involved more than 20 countries and saved several thousand people IIRC. It was a 3 year Interpol operation several years ago.

With gangs such as MS13 in almost every state, I wouldn’t want to say it’s not a problem. According to what I have read, MS13 is very into trafficking of all sorts.

And with smuggling people over the border, there’s bound to be some that wind up in unexpected situations where they might be exploited like this.

So just shrug and don’t believe it - Just believe that the journalists who are working to expose it are raving idiots who just want to be sensational- you are free to believe whatever you like-Just laugh and go on without a care. It’s still a more or less free country.

I checked all of the linked sources.

They all are estimates from people who’s funding depends upon this being a very serious problem.

As for the sex trafficking ring arrest you mentioned, can you cite a reference? I think I saw an article that indicated a little over 100 in the US.
