This occurs on Pensacola beach as well, thought the light is greenish.

Outer Banks, too - not so that the whole expanse of water glows, but they twinkle like stars falling in the surf at night.

We had huge bioluminescence in Ventura this last summer. It was the most I’ve ever seen. If you stomped on the docks it looked like blue fireworks in the water. The waves on the beaches were spectacular.
