'I can only say that with the slow withering of my physical forces, interiorly, I am on a pilgrimage towards home.'
Since his resignation, Benedict, 90, has been living in a former convent in the Vatican gardens.
Those close to him say he is still sharp mentally but has mobility problems and needs a walker to get around.
In July 2016 he revealed a 'gay lobby' in the Vatican tried to influence decisions during his papacy - but that no-one pressured him to resign.
His memoirs, called 'Last Testament' was published in November 2016 and were the first time in history that a former Pope judged his own pontificate after it had finished.

And the Gay Lobby within the Vatican has been working overtime on Pope Francis. But I must say, Pope Francis seems more than willing to do whatever the Gay Lobby wants. I am not a Catholic, but have been shocked by the official pronunciations coming from Pope Francis, in many areas of our society/culture.
Just about every trail of destruction to our way of life can be traced back to the Gay lobby.
I sure hope Benedict doesn’t turn out to be the last Catholic Pope.
Sorry, but I don’t believe he was not pressured to resign. He was, and it was because of the truth that he told about muzzies, and about the gay lobby.
He was not honest with us. Good person. Good pope, but he lied.
I’ve been on a pilgrimage toward home since the day I was born.

I think you’re right. Benedict fell on his sword for some reason. Perhaps he did it to protect the overall reputation of the Church. I suppose we’ll never know.
God bless our true Pope.
Bon Voyage, Frankie ...
Now THERE was a true pope.
I am certain he has no fear of meeting his Savior when that day comes.
Godspeed, Your Holiness.
I am Catholic, and can tell you it won’t be much longer before large numbers of us start heading for the exits.
Francis is trying to change our Church from a Christian faith into some sort of left-wing political party. We’re having none of it.
“I am Catholic, and can tell you it wont be much longer before large numbers of us start heading for the exits.”
Why would you leave the Church over a man? Any man? He’s the pope, yes, but he’s mortal. He’ll die - most likely within a handful of years. He’ll be replaced. The Church goes on.
St. Malachi has yet to be proved wrong.
perhaps at his death the truth will come out, tarnished by his refusal to bring it to light when it happened perhaps, but the possibility of him being afraid for HIS OWN safety is not likely.
“At some point you have to admit that the (human) organization is corrupt beyond repair and cut bait.”
I could never lose faith in God like that. He made the Church. It is HIS Body. People are corrupt. The Church is not. Knowing the difference is part of basic theology. Living the difference is necessary to keep your spiritual sanity.
“Agree or disagree, Protestants at least had the courage of their convictions.”
Erroneous convictions are nothing to be courageous about.
“Are you going to remain in a Catholic Church that officially embraces legal abortion? Cause I tell you, that’s coming too.”
No, it’s not coming. But if it did, it wouldn’t be the Church doing it. It would just be a corrupt human being doing it. The Church would still be the Church and cannot be otherwise. Christ made it that way and that way it shall remain.

I agree. I think he would accept the crown of martyrdom (if necessary) for the greater glory of God. No doubt.
The Apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Akita, Japan, to Sr. Agnes Sasagawa
Oct. 10, 1973
"The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres...churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.Looking around at the state of things, does that sound about right to you? Because thats pretty much the view from here."The demon will be especially implacable against souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sadness. If sins increase in number and gravity, there will be no longer pardon for them."
Ive never seen the Cosmic Calendar, but Im guessing we and the Earth must now also be fairly close to the next Punishment/Cleansing She speaks of, too.
!
Thank you for posting! It’s been too many years sice I thought of the Akita Apparition...
