I agree except I am not a Jew. I am Catholic in my Christian faith. I am a Christian before all else. I do not believe I have to agree with the Pope except when he speaks Ex Cathedra. I don’t think that’s even happened in my lifetime. I actually agree with the Protestant position on many things, as much as Martin Luther before he left the Church. I wish he could have fought harder and with more allies to defeat the Evil ones in the Church and bring it into Glory.
IMHO, this is still a multi-generational fight but I firmly believe God and Jesus wanted/wants one body as a church. It’s what all Christians should strive for!
However, I’m not going to argue my religious believes over another believer. I’m a sorry example, but that’s all I got.

Church as political system will only work when Christ returns. Until then it’s opening the doors wide to worldliness and corruption. That has long been true of both the Catholic church and any of those Protestant churches that have been or remain a State Church. Our Founders were wise and prescient.
