I love Maryland, but won’t be able to afford to retire here, and I hate that my vote never counts. But it’s a beautiful state.

Oh yeah, I have no problem with the landscape there. Just the politics. My last residence up there was in King George County. I had a 12 acre property that had deeded access to Potomac Creek at the mouth that fed into the Potomac River where it bends eastward toward the Chesapeake Bay. Loved it there. Nice quiet & peaceful. After many many years in that area of Northern Virginia, Maryland & D.C. I really do not miss it anymore. I loved that the ocean beaches were not too far when you headed east, and the mountains were relatively close by when you headed west.

I love Maryland too. I live in Virginia and if we could carve out the Baltimore-Washington-Richmond corridor both states would be awesome. A good chunk of the Eastern Shore is like a balm to my soul.
