Amazing.

When I visited Mongolia in 2016, my guide told me that the Gobi desert was the cradle of human civilization.

The research of the migrations of ancient humans (pre-humans?) is fascinating. Sometimes, I think I went into the wrong field.

Stranger In A New Land (Archaeology)

"Image: JOHN GURCHE PORTRAIT OF A PIONEER With a brain half the size of a modern one and a brow reminiscent of Homo habilis, this hominid is one of the most primitive members of our genus on record. Paleoartist John Gurche reconstructed this 1.75-million-year-old explorer from a nearly complete teenage H. erectus skull and associated mandible found in Dmanisi in the Republic of Georgia. The background figures derive from two partial crania recovered at the site. "

Just because you find some old bones in Africa does not mean all humans came from there. There has never been a large civilizations there. That continent has everything you want so why did civilization spring up elsewhere?

Among other things ‘researchers’ believe is that humans hug around southern Africa for hundreds of thousand of years and then one day Bob, Mike, Lucy, and Helen suddenly decided they all should begin moving north. Possibly to rearrange the furniture?
