‘Salems lot’ is very good.

It has one chapter that is one page long, and it describes the autumn arriving in the town and the horrors arriving too, and it is pure gold. It is one of the best literary masterpieces I’ve ever read.

I often go back to read just that one chapter.


“It” drove me crazy. I literally stopped reading it and tossed it into the trash 3/4’ths of the way through.. and I only got that far because I was trying to force myself to finish


I think ‘The Stand’ was the last good one.

I agree.

I get the impression that once upon a time King was more conservative. His earlier books had some kind of moral voice.
