President Donald Trump said many words during his hour and 20 minute long State of the Union address Tuesday evening, but he did not mention women once.
Trump’s first year in office was a landmark year for women, as the #MeToo and Time’s Up movements shaped political and popular culture. Multiple elected and appointed officials were forced to resign after admitting to sexual harassment and assault, and more women than ever will run for office in 2018.
The president, meanwhile, made several attempts to limit access to reproductive care, refused to call himself a feminist and was accused of cheating on his wife with adult film star Stephanie Gregory Clifford, also known as Stormy Daniels. Trump's annual average approval rating for his first year in office was only 33 percent among women, compared with 45 percent among men.
But it’s not just Trump: Republicans also have a female problem.
According to recent polling, women favor Democrats over Republicans in the November midterm elections by 16 points, while men support both parties at parity. Such data indicates that Trump "is not likely to be much help in rallying women to support Republicans in the upcoming midterm elections," said Gallup's Megan Brenan.
Ignoring women’s issues during the most important policy-shaping speech of the year doesn’t help. Trump only used the term “woman” once, while telling the story of a homeless woman who was found pregnant and injecting heroin.
“We know where we stand in Trump's vision of our union,” tweeted the National Women's Law Center after his speech.

Trump doesn't engage in identity politics like the Left does.
Women against men. Whites against blacks. Baby-killers against pro-lifers. Rich against poor. Citizens against illegals.
The list is unending with the liberals.
BS! He named the women/mothers of the 2 innocents killed by MS-13!
He also said we many times. This is a woman who couldn't think herself out of a paper bag.

He talked about women being killed by illegal aliens.
He talked about a woman who adopted a drug addicted baby.

Liberals generally and feminists in particular tend to have a very tenuous grasp on reality. You can share your favorite BBQ sauce recipe with a feminist, and she'll find a way to accuse you of "attempting to limit her reproductive rights."
He honored a female Coast Guard member who saved 40 people during the Houston floods.
His crime: not talking about how weak and fragile women are and how we must shelter them.
Instead, he presented women as strong, successful, overcoming and taking on adversity.

Apparently, you missed the memo but "Americans" is a code word for men, white men. In the eyes of liberals, what else could it possibly mean?
What, was she hoping for a James G. Watt type of quote?
“I have a black, a woman, two Jews and a cripple. And we have talent.”
So WHAT? He frequently said “Americans” and “citizens”. Why should he DIVIDE them into GROUPS like his stinking predecessor? Don’t idiots like this dame consider themselves Americans and citizens?
That’s right...his entire speech was ‘inclusive’ for all Americans.....any complaining no mention of women is still crying in their sour milk.
