'Baron' was a title used in many European countries, so the name does not just symbolize British imperialism, it celebrates widespread European imperialism, which is far more offensive...

ahh, Gilles Meloche, who would go on to play with and coach for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

I remember going to the old Civic Arena on a Sunday afternoon when the old Cleveland Barons came to town to play the Penguins. Announced crowd was about 4000.

When is Minnesota going to get rid of their offensive football team? Vikings raped and pillaged my people for 100s of years, now they are celebrated? Or the fighting Irish? Yes every Gaelic person looks like a leprechaun and is the first to fight, but still offensive!!
