Trailblazing UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has agreed to terms with WWE to perform for the company as a full-time professional wrestler.
Rousey made a surprise appearance at the WWE's Royal Rumble pay-per-view in Philadelphia on Sunday night. After the conclusion of the first-ever women's Royal Rumble match, Rousey emerged and shocked the crowd.
"This is my life now. First priority on my timeline for the next several years. This is not a smash-and-grab; this is not a publicity stunt," Rousey told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne of her decision to join WWE. "When I first met with Triple H, I told him, 'There are other things I can do with my time that'll make way more money, but I won't enjoy nearly as much.'"

Good for her - will she be a heel or a baby face? McMahon pays well but it’s a travel grind for WWE performers.
What else do you want her to do?
I’m sure she wishes she did this before she fought Holly Holm.
WWE would however be perfect. It’s not real fighting, and she has the physical attributes and skill to fit in very well in the women’s division. Especially considering that she can actually fight. She may no longer be top dog in the UFC, but she will be in the Kabuki theater called ‘professional’ wrestling.
Perhaps but it is harder on your body. You take more bumps more often. Still, anything beats getting hit in the head.
Travel grind, and no real time off for the real injuries that happen when you take those “fake” bumps...

As long as she doesnt have to stand with a boxer she’ll do fine. She’s a decent grappler...oh wait...WWE. She’ll be a bad girl, for sure!
I think you have it nailed. I would throw-in a general observation about UFC fighters. Once they’ve been knocked cold it seems that they become progressively easier to KO in subsequent fights. Call it “concussion syndrome” if you like. Unlike professional boxing, UFC fighters generally have short careers
She has charisma, she can entertain audiences, and she will be making a lot of money.
Glad to hear it. UFC isn’t something you do for a decade and not come out with permanent damage.
Like being an NFL lineman at the end of a long season. You play in pain from multiple nagging injuries that just won’t heal until the off-season... except there really isn’t am off season.
If she can avoid the knockout, she does have a devastating finishing tap out move.

If Rousey will truly be a regular, weekly personality, the bloom will be off the rose very quickly.
