We do potatoes April 1 in Missouri. One of my favorites to plant. Because we get an adequate rain in spring, potatoes are a plant it and forget it crop.
Our ponds need water....Our area needs water.
Might, could be a bad wheat and soybean year around here....
That said....I have water to grow a garden.
