If congress in the past has authorized a border wall but there is no funding, why doesn't Trump just start a Go Fund Me campaign for the wall? Does anybody know if it would be legal. My bet is he would get all the money he needs in less than 30 days. And he would not need to negotiate on DACA. And if a Go Fund Me Campaign is legal or some other donation format is legal how can we get thie pitched to the Whitehouse?
Raise $21 billion in 30 days? :-)
It would indeed be an interesting exercise to see how much support there actually is for a wall (or lack of support). Why don't you start it?

Set up a PAC or a non-profit and plaster social media with a paypal link.
I can’t start it. It would need to be the whitehouse as they’d need to be the steward of the spending. As for those who say Congress should fund it....I think at this point most, on this topic, most of us say to hell with Congress and stop the delay.
There is no Go Fund Me page for the Trump Wall because NONE IS ALLOWED! They tried to set one up, and it was taken down by the company.
Seriously, someone with power here need to be able to pitch this idea to the whitehouse.
Then the Whitehouse can open their own non profit and website to get the funding,. Go fund me or whatever....

The U.S. Constitution says (Article I, section 9, clause 7) that "No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law."
Yeah that makes sense. I doubt Congress will ever completely fund the wall. Thus a GoFundMe would be an interesting exercise to see how much interest there is out there for building a wall. Let people put their money where their mouth is so to speak.

Thousands and Thousands of Judges, Clerks, Court Houses, Prisons, Prison Guards, Lawyers,Probation and Parole Officers, Hundreds of thousands of Tax payer funded Drug Programs.... ALL will disappear overnight
If we Build the Wall, what happens to all the Millions of Drug Warriors across this country?? What type of work will they do if we win the War on Drugs by building a Wall?? What about the $50Billion in Tax Dollars, will we get that back? DO you think we will just abolish the DEA??
Remember the War on Drugs Started with Henry Anslinger after prohibition was ended and he was about to be an unemployed Prohibition Enforcer for the US Gubmint
The Wall will NOT be built, there is No Way in Hell we will end the War on Drugs by winning, there is way too much money involved here.
ps My wife has a green card, I am in SoCal and I not only want the wall built, I want every last Illegal ALien deported yesterday.
