Qx--both dads were harsh and one sometimes physically abusive at the demand of Qx's mother. She was also quite harsh. And no one knew what to do with him. The latter hasn't changed much. LOL.
It has greatly plagued Qx's relationship with Father God because he never had any sufficiently connected emotional bonding with either father (or his mother, for that matter). He still doesn't know experientially what it's like to truly please a loving father figure. That's very sad to both of us.

Oh, Jocko, I’m so sorry for the harshness you experienced in your childhood. No one should ever have that experience. But I’ve noticed that many people become the exact opposite to someone who raised them, and you can be proud that you’ve become the role model of kindness that you should have had for yourself as a child. I’m sure that you bless many with whom you come in contact.
