Oh, Jocko, I’m so sorry for the harshness you experienced in your childhood. No one should ever have that experience. But I’ve noticed that many people become the exact opposite to someone who raised them, and you can be proud that you’ve become the role model of kindness that you should have had for yourself as a child. I’m sure that you bless many with whom you come in contact.

I'm not very social, actually. I'm closer to my daughter than my son. But Qx is the only person I'm really close to in any profound, very thorough sense. He can be a handful but he has been a great blessing to me these many years. He says I have to him as well--so that's encouraging.
