A 19-year-old Irish-born man is being held for deportation from the US, having overstayed his 90-day holiday visa seven years ago when his parents brought him to live in America when he was 12-years-old.
Although both of Galway-born Dylan ORiordans parents have green cards, having lived in Massachusetts before his birth, he was not authorized to live in the US when he moved with his family in 2010. ORiordan is now detained in Suffolk County House of Corrections awaiting deportation back to Ireland, despite being married and having a young daughter in the US. [ ]
ORiordan was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents as he left a holding cell four months ago. He had been arrested after having an argument with his girlfriend Brenna in a shopping mall when a woman called the police claiming that ORiordan was guilty of domestic abuse. It was nothing at all, he told NPR. Some woman called the cops, said I was abusing my girlfriend. [ ]
As the 19-year-old had overstayed a holiday visa, he was not entitled to a trial and is subject to deportation from the US without any immigration hearing.

It’s actually “Bhuel, Slán”.
(You can probably tell that “Bhuel” is a loanword from English; pronounced “Well”.)
Maybe I or someone else ought to make a Curly Bill meme with him saying that?
Maybe he should have applied for citizenship.
I got the feeling I was supposed to feel sorry for him because he is not a brown person!
The parents are responsible for his overstay so they should have their green cards pulled. Send the family back.
Did yuh read the story?
This guy was brought here by his parents when he was 12 years old.
They have green cards and somehow he does not.
Ain’t right and maybe his parents are mental defectives, because they should have seen to it he received a green card at the same time as they...
Might kick his parents out for being stupid and let this kid stay...
You are correct.
I was lazy and just used the Google translator.
Further research does tell me maith means good, Go, I guess, means bye.
He got his anchor baby so what's the problem?
Are you guys not reading any part of this story?
“Although both of Galway-born Dylan ORiordans parents have green cards, having lived in Massachusetts before his birth, he was not authorized to live in the US when he moved with his family in 2010”
Yeah, I’m crying a river...
He was a kid when he moved here, while his parents already had green cards.
They should be kicked out for being stupid and not seeing to it, their kid received a green card at the same time...
Oh? So KcuF him because his parents didn’t do their job?
Nice...
Got his girlfriend pregnant and then married her in the jail after he was locked up. Probably in a mistaken attempt to avoid deportation.
Binge watch all of Ballykissangel.
Send him back.
Mom and dad are guilty of assisting in his illegal immigration (I would say “smuggling”, but that’s a bit too strong of a word). Take their green cards and send them home too.
obumber might have been your president if “You want to pick what laws are enforced when”
And send his parents with the lad!
Illegals go home all of them!
