I got this email from Twitter. Is it likely a link to malicious web site?

Dear ......,

As part of our recent work to understand Russian-linked activities on Twitter during the 2016 U.S. presidential election, we identified and suspended a number of accounts that were potentially connected to a propaganda effort by a Russian government-linked organization known as the Internet Research Agency.

Consistent with our commitment to transparency, we are emailing you because we have reason to believe that you either followed one of these accounts or retweeted or liked content from these accounts during the election period. This is purely for your own information purposes, and is not related to a security concern for your account.

We are sharing this information so that you can learn more about these accounts and the nature of the Russian propaganda effort. You can see examples of content from these suspended accounts on our blog if you're interested.

People look to Twitter for useful, timely, and appropriate information. We are taking active steps to stop malicious accounts and Tweets from spreading, and we are determined to keep ahead of the tactics of bad actors. For example, in recent months we have developed new techniques to identify accounts manipulating our platform, have improved our process for challenging suspicious accounts, and have introduced new measures designed to identify and take action on coordinated malicious activity. In 2018, we are building on these improvements. Our blog also contains more information about these efforts.

People come to Twitter to see what's happening in the world. We are committed to making it the best place to do that and to being transparent with the people who use and trust our platform.

I think you could ask a few of your followers if they see your tweets. They do it to popular conservatives all the time and also suspend them.

I don’t sign in to Twitter because they wanted a phone number and I won’t do that, I just read a lot.

Could you perhaps have been follower of the account claiming to be Tennessee Republican Party (TEN_GOP)? It was a Russian fake account and Tennessee Republican Party had to write 3 complains to the twitter company before they took it down.

Twitter is dead to me.

I’ve lived my entire life without it and will continue to happily do so.

If you used Russian dressing on a salad recently, you might be monitored for “Russian collusion”. /sarc

So far no organization has definitely proved that the Russians or their “bots” have done anything against our election systems or individuals.

It would be like the Soviets/Russians to TRY to do something, AS THEY HAVE FOR THE PAST 50+ years (since the time of Goldwater verus LBJ), but unless you read some of the congressional hearings about Soviet “Disinformation” programs against Goldwater, Reagan, etc, or State Department/USIA reports, you won’t know anything ever happened or was attempted.

There is a good possibility that one of Obama’s political “advisors” or “mentors” had a hand in this type of political disinformation/propaganda, if this late Communist Party member/Soviet unregistered agent (importing Soviet publications including propaganda) did know Obama in Chicago politics, as his son claimed before he clammed up.

Always assume our communist enemies are doing “something” against us 24/7. That is how they operate. We might even find out that the “Steele Dossier” was a made-in-Moscow major disinformation program to throw the whole Nov. 2016 presidential election into disarray. If so, they have succeeded, thanks to a corrupt Democrat Party, a corrupt liberal leadership of the FBI, possibly the CIA, a corrupt Fusion GPS, and a total criminally corrupt/treasonous Democratic National Committee.

There was no Russian involvement of any consequence to help Trump, yet Twitter sent this to people who might have seen a “pro-Trump” ad from an entity associated with Russia.

Even this description is giving Twitter the “benefit of the doubt.” This is becoming an opportunity for liberals to attack those persons as idiots who voted for Trump because of “Russian propaganda.”

According to twitter, I have tweeted 87 times - got an account about 4 months ago so i could “like” a lot of Trump’s posts as they have been driving the Left nuts. Now, I check the site about twice a week and seldom do more than click a “like” button.

I don’t tweet but it sounds like they’re trying to intimidate you:

“Welcome my son, welcome to the machine.
Where have you been?
It’s alright we know where you’ve been”.
