Might have to revisit Walter White.
One of the best shows ever.
This show absolutely hauled ass.
I think Vince Gilligan’s efforts on the X-Files went largely unnoticed and under-appreciated...but they definitely put his creative talents on display for those who cared to take a look.
“Breaking Bad,” “Justified,” Downton Abbey,” “The Sopranos,” “Rome,” the first 5 seasons of “The Walking Dead,” and “Game Of Thrones” are binge-worthy. In fact, binging is the best way to watch these shows.
All are 10 times better than any movie released in the last 20 years.
I think Matt Bracken’s “Enemies Trilogy” would also make a great series if given equal production values and casting.
I have never seen this show, but of course, I have heard about it. For those who liked it, do you think it may have helped to romanticize, if not even normalize Meth use in the general public? Or was it always clear that this was for entertainment purposes only? I don’t know, since I never saw it.
I also had similar apprehension about Dexter, that TV series about a serial killer. Have shows like these worked to deflate the soul, erase the morals of America?
On a side note, I loved Bloodline until the last season. The writers and actors kind of mailed it in, but the story and writing was great until the final season.
The best ending to any show, in any era.
The last show was a masterpiece. And for that show is high praise.
Yesterday we finished binge watching BB on Netflix. (Reason for my tagline.) We didn’t realize we had missed so much the first time around. Very good show — but has a LOT of dark moments and twists.
Great article, thanks! Im actually currently binge watching this for the fourth time with my boyfriend whos never seen it. We have six episodes to go so well finish it this weekend. Very timely article to see now. Absolutely groundbreaking series, incredible acting and all around excellent show!
I swear the first season was supposed to be a black comedy. Rewatch it. It’s hilarious.
Lets not forget Better Call Saulan excellent prequel to Breaking Bad. Cant wait for season 4.
I just completed watching the entire series on Netflix.
It only took about 2 weeks. It was like a book that you CANNOT put down.
Far and away the finest drama TV ever produced.
I encourage everyone to watch this entire series, there’s never before been anything like it, and we can only hope for a future series as compelling.
“I guess I got what I deserved...” “My Baby Blue” will haunt your mind for some time afterward.
In fact I read on Wikipedia that song went to #14 on the Billboard charts the week after the final episode.
A full 44 years after its original release.
Frankly I never thought it anything more than a crime TV series much like “The Soprano’s”. I did not watch much of “Breaking Bad” as I just did not care for it. But I don’t think it was anymore groundbreaking than “The Soprano’s”.
Two overrated TV series, not bad, but then again nothing to rave to the moon about.
BEST television show ever. It was a masterpiece in every sense of the word. I still think about it today.
which he is ... total liberal
My favorite episode was “Face Off” where Walter White takes out Gus in the nursing home with the help of Hector “Tio” Salamanca who blows himself and Gus to kingdom come with a wheelchair bomb. The scene where Gus walks out of the bombed-out room was mind blowing.
Excellent, satisfying article.
I love the part where Cranston says he knew it was taking off when people started stealing the yellow directional signs for filming. I see them daily and you cant really tell what show or commercial its for with the names on them and I dont care. But if I had seen BrBa or whatever, I might have been tempted to pull over and grab one... I get it.
Boy many folks simply adore Braking Bad...it’s always been this way
I thought it was decent but not even close to Sopranos or GOT
but that’s fine....
I binge watched it......I wouldn’t have stuck with it
I recommend watching DARK with the subtitles on, don’t use the dubbing.
