So, Obama thought shutting down the government was a bad idea. Video of his speech in 2013 at the link.

The Democrats and media always blame Republicans for shutdowns when it’s usually the Democrats responsible.

Make no mistake about it; Obama is leading a civil war against the US Constitution and those striving to uphold it along with the Bill of Rights, freedom of religion, speech and private property. That is exactly what we have been witnessing for years, but most have failed to recognize the treason and call it for the evil that it is.

I think the five shutdowns from the 1980s/1990s...all basically one single day or a weekend...were acceptable to the general public. Once we did the 1996/1997 routine with 27 total days, public view changed. And I think the 2013 episode simply convinced that public that a shutdown really didn’t amount to much unless you were coming to a national park (note the present shift, if any national park collects a fee at the gate, they must remain open).

All of this leads me to the view that more than sixty-percent of the public simply doesn’t care....it’s all fake acting and marginalized government existence. I think once we get to 5 Feb (two weeks away), and the Senators realize there’s no hyped up sense about this, they will have some emergency meeting and write up a fake-resolution to agree upon. My thinking though....in the past, each of these Presidents would fall all over a fake resolution and sign off. I’m not so sure that a fake fix would work with Trump. He might go and suggest that both parties are being dishonest with the public (which they are).

This might go to mid-Feb.

I love the videos of Bill Clinton and Obama both proposing the necessity of the wall and immigration enforcement.

It doesn’t do much good to repair the internal damage over and over rather than fix the hole in the roof that is causing the damage.

All I remember is the stunt Obama pulled....WWII vets came and couldn’t get to the WWII Memorial.

"One faction, of one party, in one house of Congress, in one branch of government, shut down major parts of the government -- all because they didn't like one law."

...and that party is the Democrats, that chamber is the Senate, and that faction is the Schumer cabal. But that ‘one law' is not a law at all but an unlawful Obama Executive Order. Thanks Obama!
