My guess is it’s a temporary health issue or skills needed for this mission issue. If it was otherwise she would be booted of the program.
As far a select few of the crazy comments on this thread, I am going to guess (since everyone is guessing) they are coming from people with IQs pushing towards the left side of the bell curve. But that’s just me being me.
As much as I dislike Obama, I will say that I had an opportunity to meet the head of Obama’s NASA at the time Charles Bolden, and I was very impressed by him, and yes, he happens to be an AA if that matters.
I was a part of a group of scientist, engineers and technicians, we were dealing with a host of challenging technical issues on a key flight hardware system that is on the James Webb Space Telescope. If we did not solve these problems (issues) it would jeopardize the 9-10 billon dollar program. Mr. Bolden came to our facility and gave us one hell of a pep talk, frankly we were expecting a real dressing down BTW. The happy news, all issues were resolved. However, were not declaring victory until the thing is launched and operating on orbit.
My guess is health problem....................
