Alcohol banned at UCLA fraternity parties after a former chapter president was arrested [tr]

Fraternities at the University of California, Los Angeles are banned indefinitely from serving alcohol at in-house parties and events days after a former president was arrested on sexual assault allegations. The UCLA Interfraternity Council announced the booze-free rule on Wednesday citing safety concerns. 'Safety will always be the main priority when evaluating the IFC community and we are working towards enacting measures to promote security and prioritize safety,' a statement from the council read.
