I am offering up nothing more than my opinion, which I made rather obvious was my opinion. Much like your opinion that makes you believe, apparently beyond the shadow of a doubt, that he is the real deal. Trust me, I would love for my opinion to be wrong, and yours to be right, as it would make both of our dreams come true.
However, I guess I have lived long enough to not count my chickens until they actually hatch, nor to believe some anonymous source at face vale. Instead I am skeptical, while praying that my skepticism is wrong. That way I don't fall like a rock from disappointment if it never comes to fruition.

We find that very problematic in this kind of context with this kind of evidence. Setting yourself up for a virtually certain false negative error isn't attractive to us.
Yes, intuitive + logical etc. methodologies have hazards too. We are just more comfortable with those hazards.
