An employee who spoke to Mashable said that several shuttles have suffered from broken windows, and on an internal email thread, there was speculation that it could be due to "rubber rounds" fired at the buses. There have been at least four reports of broken windows on January 12 and January 16.

Or just ordinary leftwing moonbats:
Apple shuttles have, in the past, been the target of protestors frustrated by the tech industry's impact on affordable housing and the cost of living in the Bay Area.
Rubber rounds or just used rubbers?
Local scum with blue hair but poor job prospects hate tech workers “cuz they drive up housing prices” —which is mostly true.
But these are mostly people who wear a whole hardware store on their face and other body parts.
A tour bus I was on was hit by some paint gun rounds in Mexico City. Wouldn’t surprise me if the same was going on here. Stay outta my hood basically.
The whole idea of employee shuttles from SF to Silicon Valley is totally insane. I’m glad I bugged out of Frisco before that idea was hatched.

How would you like to be an Apple $300 thou per coding genius and havng to ride a ghetto bus/ shattered windows from San Fran to Silicon Valley`
Of course it would have to be someone firing a gun using rubber bullets, because there just aren't enough rocks and bricks to be thrown and they just don't sound as bad.
For example, check out this 1,071 sq foot 3 bdrm 1 bathroom bungalow...
List price...$1,598,000. Estimate mortgage - $6,148/mo.
BTW, the price was dropped $500k over the past 30 days. Seller must be anxious.
I think my living room is more than 1,071 sq feet.
300K for a worker, not a management type?
Nice work, if you can get it.
Insane prices. fwiw my taxes were 1700 on 1600 sq ft home last year and lots of green lawn outside. I mean lots I have to mow.
Friends of mine bought a house 30 years ago in Cupertino for 300,000 ...Everyone thought they were crazy..House is 2 blocks from APPLE and worth 5 million dollars...We should all be that crazy
You seldom see the flying wedge used anymore.

It’s very clear in the article.
I used to live in Santa Clara in a home slightly bigger than that.
Even at low speeds, that kind of formation isn’t easy to maintain.
Sounds like they're avoiding I280 now according to the article. It's hard to believe taking US101 would add that much time but I haven't been out there for over 20 years. Maybe surface streets?
