One of my favorite comic singers and one of my favorite comic shows. Perfect.

This is a good example of me laughing at me. I'm horrified by animal cruelty to the extent that I removed a few paragraphs of writing by my grandfather when he described blowing up a tree of birds that were threatening his burros. (They pecked at pack sores, which could cause infections and the deaths of the animals.) And I completely eliminated a poem of Henry Livingston's from his body of work because it talked about kicking a dog. I still remember our choral nun who had trained in Rome and was actually in favor of poisoning pigeons!

That was the best show. He drew the most perfect line between bumbler and brave man. The second world war drew in a lot of men of character. Good for him!

"That was the best show."
I've got season one on DVD. His "old war buddy" Don Rickles just kills it!

We’ve gained notoriety
And caused much anxiety
In the Audubon Society with our games,
They call it impiety
And lack of proprietry
And quite a variety of unpleasant names,
But it’s not against any religion
To want to dispose of...A PIGEON!!
Only “Table of the Elements” was funnier, IMO.

I love every episode Don Rickles is in.
I was in the lunch audience when Larry King and the Star Trek main three were inducted into the National Association of Broadcaster's Hall of Fame. Don Rickles introduced King with a roast.

Pittsburgh's Barbara Feldon still with us at 84.

The best quote from Tom Lehrer:
"If, after hearing my songs, just one human being is inspired to say something nasty to a friend, or perhaps to strike a loved one, it will all have been worth the while"

Tom Lehrer is good entertainer, and also a Leftist.

Unfortunately. We need to convert more good artists to the right side.

My favorites are:
“It is a sobering thought that when Mozart was my age, he’d already been dead two years.” AND
“If you can’t something intelligent, the least you can do is Shut Up”.
