Oh for crying out loud.

When I was young, we all worried about nuclear blasts.

I’d tell my high school girlfriend in the cab of the pickup,

“Come on! Let’s do it! A nuclear bomb might go off tomorrow!”

And then there would be a flash of light from her father’s flashlight and I thought I was dead.

Up close, a shotgun can be as scary as an a-bomb.

When we’d have the drills in school, us guys would pick out the girl we’d want to give comfort to if it turned out to be real. Sadly the ugly ones would have had to go uncomforted.
