Good news. Now maybe Hollyweird will start making movies for American audiences again.

Jedi crashes and burns. 1.27 billion. ROTFLMAO

Liked that Dwayne Johnson starred in this movie. The Rock, by his ring name.
(shameless plug)
Dwayne Johnson for GOP VP, in 2020. :D

I don’t know.
Trump was also in the middle for a while.
Keep an eye on him. That is all I am saying.
Maybe. He’s very riveting. Kasich, not at all.

It crashed and burned in China. From $28.7M week one to $2.4M week two. Yikes. The Post could probably do better than that.

Apparently even the Red Chinese can’t stomach the SJW tripe spewing out of Hollywood. They’ve voted with their wallets.
What do you bet that Hollywood and especially Disney won’t listen?!

Jedi crashes and burns. 1.27 billion. ROTFLMAO "Frozen" made $1.4 billion, and made more in FRANCE than TLJ will in China. EPIC FAIL.

Apparently even the Red Chinese cant stomach the SJW tripe spewing out of Hollywood. Theyve voted with their wallets. Even with the fat ugly Chinese character "Rose" wasting 45 minutes of screen time -- or maybe because of her.

So 'Last Jedi' under-performed in China - that's not a small thing, Hollywood blockbusters are made for the overseas market as much as they are for the US these days, and that affects the kind of movies that actually get made.
The professional critics on Rotten Tomatoes love the movie, while ordinary movie-going reviewers seem to be pretty evenly split, which is extraordinary for a Star Wars movie - it's usually the other way around. A Star Wars movie which appeals to journalists and turns off regular movie fans is not a good Star Wars movie. I'll pass.

Actually, The magic box office appeal of Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep is not working so well these days. The movie, “The Post” after a long string of showings before it opened only brought in about $27M over the four day weekend.
They say this movie cost $50M to produce....and it will just about reach that number. Of course the studio spent a fortune in advertising these now “Has Beens”, who have chosen to be politicians, rather then entertainers, and, as such, are not good at performing either.

Indications are that the Chinese were insulted by the meaningless insertion of Rose into the film. Seems they recognized it as an obvious PC play for their market.

Concur. Hanks and Streep have fallen into the abyss of believing their opinions have public worth. They have exceeded their “sell by” date.

In the begining of the movie, Rose started as a lowly maintenance worker, by the end she was a fighter pilot and was making command decisions for the Rebels. Not very realistic.
