In it’s hayday the Soviet Union made socialism in Africa a priority. The USSR figured that Africa had critical resources that nowhere else could supply .They wanted to deny the USA control. They succeeded in socializing Africa. A bit of history you’re not likely to ever learn in Public Schools.
