What's your favorite old T.V. show theme song?
Use to be some great shows on T.V. back in the day.
From the Voice of Firestone, a prime-time show that aired every Monday night and which we all watched.
I think NBC may have used that version in the later 70s for it’s football theme music.
The original NFL theme was a march called “Confidence”. That got you ready to watch a football game!
I liked the older version...no singing....https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=r2u2KdklMTo

Oh yeah I remember that one too...
Back when I was a teenybopper I’ d turn up the radio in my hemi powered Plymouth, play Route 66 and stretch the ol’ Plymouth’s legs. Cool!
My two favorites:
The Green Hornet
The Wild, Wild West
The Rifleman is a great opening and one of my all-time favorite shows. Another great show intro was Branded.
“I can’t believe nobody has said Cheers yet.”

Excellent theme song, but I suspect many of us don’t want to think of the 1980s as “old” TV themes.
:D
Fabulous choice. I have the entire album.
Green Acres, too.
Route 66
Knight rider
Airwolf
Stranded
Stranded on a toilet bowl
Stranded
Stranded
Stranded on a toilet bowl
What do you do when youre stranded
And there aint nothing on the roll?
To prove youre a man
You must wipe it with your hand
Stranded
Stranded on a toilet bowl!
Probably already been said but the Rockford Files theme song is very catchy.
I always thought that the Munsters theme was the inspiration for the riff in Tom Petty’s Runnin’ Down A Dream.
Mine are:
Callan - A British Series where the theme music played while a bare light bulb swung on a wire.
Firefly - They’ll Never Take The Sky From Me
This was a Sunday night documentary program on recent history and current events hosted by Walter Cronkite--before he went liberal. In the mid-60s the show used a wimpier version of the theme song.
