I'm with you. At the Golden Globes, whenever they described this film, they kept saying it was a story about "class" differences. So, I don't know, does that mean that they think people of lower economic stature, should be allowed to kneecap someone in order to help themselves in a competition?
I think that this is just bizarre. Of all things to try to push on people, this story is over. Tonya Harding ruined her own career. No one forced her, or her boyfriend at that time, to do something like this. This was a choice. A bad choice. And, she paid the price, as she should have.
I think that her lower economic and social status, in their eyes, excuses her actions.
It is an abdication of personal responsibility.
Which I find abhorrent, but predictable. This is the way the Left views everything.
