Trump says he’ll ‘take the heat’ for bipartisan immigration reform
NY Post ^ | January 9, 2018 | Bob Fredericks

President Trump on Tuesday said he’d be willing to “take the heat” if Democrats and Republicans can push through comprehensive immigration reform — calling for “a bill of love.”

Trump reiterated his demand that any deal to protect the so-called “Dreamers” — undocumented immigrants protected by the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program — would have to include funding for his border wall.

What’s the problem?
In every speech and interview I have seen Trump talk about it he has indicated that he will NOT deport DACA inmigrants and that he will treat them with ‘compassion’

He is also trying to get some legislation that will be bipartisan.

So why is everyone surprised? he is doing what he said and what he signaled he would do.

800,000 is a lot less than 11 million plus, specially if he gets the wall and enhanced border security.

“Bill of Love” = Democratic landslide in 2018. Does Trump have anyone advising him?

I taught for a while in a NYC high school which is especially for "Hispanic immigrants in the country less than 4 years". Read: ILLEGALS. All the teachers had to be bilingual. Taxpayer money had to be wasted on bilingual textbooks. There had to be a bilingual guidance counselor. The school was in a beautiful building, while most NYC students have to attend school in very old buildings.

These "students" could hardly stop talking or grabbing each other long enough to pay the slightest attention to lessons. Most of the students were rank, lacking respect for most female teachers, as is part of their culture. Many girls were pregnant, and it was no surprise how they got that way, watching them sit on boys' laps and wiggle around, or not being to keep their hands off a boy, even in the cafeteria seats. If they had to spend any time in line, such as entering the cafeteria, they could not just stand there quietly. Oh no. They would wad up paper and play soccer in line. Many of them were sly and liars. Very few of them seemed to want to become proficient in English and go after an education which would enable them to become a doctor, accountant, etc. They dreamed of being a building super or some other low level job. THIS is the kind of low intellectual level scum they want to let into the country and allow to stay in the country. What, we don't breed enough low IQ voters of our own?

So he doesn’t want to run for re-election. Better start planning for the Pence 2020 campaign.

...especially if he gets the wall and enhanced border security.

And I'm sure that's what Reagan thought as well before the Democrats stiffed him as well ...

Without ending chain immigration and immigration lotteries, the wall isn't doing a heck of a lot of good, is it?

Incredible and outrageous!!!
So many are heaping praise upon our great President Trump today for opening the door in The White House to democracy in action under his magnificent leadership!!!

And, then, I check my favorite site, Free Republic—and way too many of you want that traitor, Benedict Arnold jerk Bannon anyway involved. Bannon ought to be ostracized for all eternity from GOP politics.

For God’s Sake, indeed, we dare not question President Trump’s judgment and wisdom. There is doubt in his fealty and determination to keep us all safe.

To me, I gathered that he made it abundantly clear that he has not wavered on building the Wall—under budget and ahead of schedule.
Please, my fellow Freepers, stop doubting President Trump’s negotiating skills. He deserves our support and is willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish his ultimate goals.

Read there are 800,000 to 3.5 million illegal aliens who are enrolled or eligible for DACA. So it’s probably more than 3.5 million.

No. The demonicRATs don't hold every elected office in the country, so obviously more Left Siders (of the bell curve) need to be imported.

"....Trump is squeezing them and playing them against the RINOs. He’s playing both sides against the middle, making them both think their calling the shots...They’re not!"

------------------

Inclined to agree. Remember months back smiling pics of Dick & Nancy on the sofa making happy in the oval office? They thought they had everything they were asking for but Trump gave them the bitter pill later.

It ain't a deal until it's passed and signed and that is a long way away with the RINOs in the Senate. In the mean time he's gonna play both sides, letting them imagine they are about to get what they want.....except they won't get it.

He is sounding more and more like Yeb. Makes me sick

...

I would be sick, too, but I know Trump hasn’t changed. He’s always said he would be for a DACA law. But I believe he’s going to get a lot in exchange for it.

I suspect Trumps thinking goes like this: " The dreamers are already here, baked into the equation. Letting them stay changes nothing. If I can get the rest of what I want in exchange for something that changes nothing, that's a great deal."

Totally agree with your assessment!!

This all begs the question:
If President Trump decided to deport the DACA immigrants, where on earth would he send them??
What of those, who perhaps came from an identifiable country, yet only spoke English and had no real familial ties to any one outside our borders?? Where shall they be exiled???

BTW, please read my Post #27 on this thread.

Part of me hope he doesn’t just so the morons on the right can get a big metal boot on their necks, and finally get it through their hard heads that what you have today from Trump isn’t OWED you, and that the Dems aren’t going to give your childish whining 2 seconds of attention.

365 days ago, Obama was still president. Maybe some of you need to be air dropped back then, because too many of you seemed to have forgotten.

[ Better start planning for the Pence 2020 campaign. ]

I’d feel better with a Bannon 2020 campaign.
