An adorable seal was caught on camera completely covered in mud enjoying a relaxing bath by a passing photographer.
The chilled seal was covered from head to tail in sticky seaside mud as it lolled about on the sand dunes of Donna Nook, Lincolnshire.
Nigel Cox, 54, took the charming shot while on a photography holiday and on first seeing the seal he thought it looked like it was covered in chocolate.
Nigel said: 'I started photography at an early age after my father, who worked at Kodak, gave me my first camera. In my teens, I progressed to an SLR camera and so started the photographic journey that I have enjoyed for the last forty years.

God made animals to put under our watch care. God made animals to feed us. Mairdie, I can tell you the hunters I know love animals too. I ahve never known one to condone cruelty to them.
I don’t hunt, but I’ve never spoken out against hunters. I don’t believe they are cruel. They follow a very long tradition and I respect them. The point I make is NOT about hunters being cruel, but asking why someone goes onto a thread about baby animals and talks about killing them. It’s about how are you trying to make other people feel? Does someone think that looking at a picture of a baby animal and talking about killing one makes other people laugh? Or feel good? Why would someone think that type of thread is the right place for that type of humor.
Not about hunting. Not about eating animals. Not doubting the essential goodness of hunters or people who eat meat. It’s all about how are you trying to make other people feel.
You kill them because you have to financially. Not because you’re a mean or cruel person.

They harass divers. Hubby is an advanced diver and absolutely detests the sea lions when he’s in the water. They follow divers who are spear fishing around to steal their fish. He says there’s nothing more terrifying than seeing something out of the corner of your eye barreling toward you. Think great white. Lots and lots of bubbles. Lol
I can’t contribute to them. Their pamphlets make me sick to my stomach. All our contributions go to no-kill shelters.
NOT very lol. Terrifying. Your hubby has guts up to wherever. May he stay safe and bring you many fine dinners.

Yeah. I can’t even snorkel. I hyperventilate. Lol
I’m terrified of water. No swimming in our high school and when they tried to make me take it in college I burst out crying. They said swim or quit. I said quit. They gave in. When we put an addition on the house, I added a tiny indoor swimming pool that is just under my nose at the deepest part. Took a month to be able to walk there. Let me play with water rings and such. But the hot tub sprung a leak and it isn’t currently working. Husband wants to plant trees in it. Sigh.
I’m not afraid of water and can swim very well. We have a huge pool and a boat. I spent a lot of time in and on the water..... but I can’t snorkle or dive. No clue why but I start hyperventilating. To satisfy hubby I tried a few times and he jerked me up and out of the water and gave up. Lol
Really lovely that you both compromised. You tried; he didn’t push. Couldn’t ask for better. And you’re FAR guttsier than I am!
