LG has developed a 65-inch OLED screen that can be rolled up like a newspaper.
In 2016, the firm announced the worlds first 18-inch rollable display at CES in Las Vegas and now, theyve more than tripled its size.
The incredible new flexible screen will be showcased alongside a staggering 88-inch 8K OLED display at the tech show this year.

AR is the next step. We have the tech.
Truth. But the real deal is AR.
It’s coming sooner than we think.
I already have something I can crunch down to a VERY small size, put in my pocket, then pull it out, unroll it, and watch it full-sized ...
Water, water, every where,
And all the boards did shrink;
Water, water, every where,
Nor any drop to drink.

I like looking at the sales online during the holidays. WalMart had an RCA 78 inch LED TV for just under $1,000. Fortunately for us our $2050 1080 Samsung 55 inch LCD we bought at Best Buy back in 2009 still performs well. Maybe next year. :-)
Isn’t LG a Chinese company?
I thought I had read awhile ago (years) of a paint that had some sort of thing in it and you could flip a switch and have it change colors.
Found it - “nano paint”. Uses an EM field to polarize the molecules somehow to different orientations for different colors. I imagine a TV paint is doable - if not already done.
LG, formerly Goldstar, formerly Lucky Goldstar, is the other South Korean electronics giant alongside Samsung.
Have you ever seen “ chrome illusion”
Auto paint that changes color by diffusing sunlight.
It is rather unique.

You can unroll it in your self driving car and you wont have to miss your favorite shows, or the game, as you are being squired about town.
Just wait until holographic TV comes out.
Wait, I don’t think I was supposed to easy that!
Shhhhh, mums the word.
So how do you hang this thing on your the wall? With a couple of thumb tax?????
Why ?
...
Judging by the video, it disappears when not in use, which is much more likely to get wife approval.
They are going to tax our thumbs now?
What I want is an OLED or equivalent that can be used as a computer monitor without damaging the screen with burn in.
OK I miss all sorts of things.
Mind sharing that with some of us? I’d be interested in seeing what you’re talking about.
:D
Thanks.
He’s talking about his bidness.
There’s no place I can be.
