It takes a special kind of stupid to allow that to happen.
Well if you look at the Saints’ defense for the season it was not strong against scoring and mediocre in yards against the pass and one of the worst against the run. The Vikes’ offense for the season was not impressive either, but had the edge on the Saints.
The game was the Saints #4 scoring offense against the Vikes #1 scoring defense.
Anyway, sorry your team lost if your team was the Saints.
No way did the Vikes just win that game that way.
I told my wife before that last play that the only way the Vikes were going to win with 10 seconds and no timeouts is to try for a medium-long pass and run for a touchdown. After the play we both looked at each other in complete astonishment.
Some fun games this weekend.
Actually the Vikes made about as boneheaded a play on offense a little earlier when they had third down within field-goal range with about 1:30 left. Instead of running the ball which would have taken time off the clock and possibly more if they had made a first down, the Vikes chose to pass, muffed it, and thus stopped the clock giving the Saints enough time to move within field-goal range which is exactly what they did.
The Vikes were very lucky. Both teams played stupid in their respective weak areas - the Vikes on offense and the Saints on defense.
I think imp should footnote that we were 4-0.
Well, it ain’t over ‘till the fat lady sings in a few weeks. We’ll see how it goes.
I just hope the rest of the games were as good as this weekend (minus the N.E. game).
I don’t think N.E. will roll over the Jags quite so easily.

Also, I should be 4-0 instead of 3-1. Hotlanta shouda won. The Aints definitely shouda won. And who does Jacksonville think they are beating the Steelers???
