Hey Gina, all is good. It's been a lovely, cold weekend, the thermostat said the outside temp was 1f this morning. But the heats up and all is right with the world.

GS’s at 8pm per the schedule. How was the first week of ‘18?

Ah! Duh. I overlooked the Gunsmoke.

You still have the awful cold. It’s finally warming up here. This was the longest run of extremely cold temperatures that I can remember. It froze almost the whole nation!

The biggest issue is not being able to do stuff outside. I'd like to get to a financial position where I can snowbird to the FL Keys from Jan - March.

What's cooking?

Yeah, it does keep us from doing a lot of stuff we normally do. It’s just too cold. All our cats have been sleeping inside every night, which is rare.

Keith’s smoking some baby back ribs on the Green Egg. I don’t know what I’ll whip up for side dish. Probably potato-something. Keith bought a big bag of potatoes, so I need to cook them.

It’s kinda cold for you to cook out up there. What are you doing for dinner?

I'm reheating steaks and mash potatoes.

I'm loving sous vide; and it makes mashed potatoes so easy.

I personally don't care if they end the game tied 0-0, nor would I care if they end up putting each other in wheelchairs. I'm a coal country, hillbilly transplant, I don't care for college football, and the hype down here is way too disproportionate.
