I have loved opera and classical music all my life and this is the most beautiful piece I think I have ever heard.
Thanks for the introduction to this music. Never been much into violin, but this could change my mind.
Thank you for the post. I listened and fell in love with this type of music which until now I was unfamiliar with.
I think the Kreisler performance is head and shoulders above the rest.
Very captivating. Were I a savage beast, I would have been soothed.
It has a personality.
If it is too perfect, a robot could have done it.
Kreisler's rendition is so loaded with heart and personality it could have been produced by a jazz musician.
Each note conveys a world of meaning and emotion.
Wishing you the very best for a 2018.
Right back at ya, Rooster!
What a miraculous age we are living in. Evil abounds, certainly—but beauty flourishes in the youtube video/audios of great classical and romantic music.
Thank you. Good rendition even if I prefer it played by an orchestra with more instruments. The Budapest Orchestra rendition is awesome.
Fritz Kreisler is wonderful. When I was in prep school on vacation and in college, I used to go to the Boston Symphony Orchestra every Wednesday, and he was one of the guys who used to conduct there.
Those were the days.
When I started this video, two of my dogs and one of my cats jumped in my lap. The dogs curled up and went to sleep right away. The cat rubbed against my phone, which the video was playing on, and was asleep before it ended. When it ended, she woke up, and started pawing at the phone. I better start the video again, before she does any damage.
They have their priorities straight.
Aint it the truth? They know good music.
Bump
It is absolutely heavenly.
This is also beautiful, Yo-yo Ma: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J22X2tN-zJA
What passion in his playing. He had a style that was so, so unique.
