Thanks for the introduction to this music. Never been much into violin, but this could change my mind.

Here are the other renditions of this Massenet piece (click the link).

I think the Kreisler performance is head and shoulders above the rest.

Think of the violin as a voice or the song coming from the heart itself.

It has a personality.

If it is too perfect, a robot could have done it.

Kreisler's rendition is so loaded with heart and personality it could have been produced by a jazz musician.

Each note conveys a world of meaning and emotion.
