A day after a winner took home the $450 million Mega Millions prize, another single ticket was sold for the even more lucrative Powerball jackpot.
One ticket sold in New Hampshire matched all six numbers to win the $570 million jackpot, according to Powerball's website. The cash value of the jackpot would be at least $300 million if taken as a lump sum.
A Powerball winner may choose to receive the jackpot in 30 annual payments or a one-time payment in cash.
The winning numbers were 12, 29, 30, 33, 61 and Powerball 26.
The winning ticket was sold at a convenience store called Reeds Ferry Market in Merrimack, the New Hampshire Lottery said. The store will be awarded a bonus of $75,000 for selling the winning numbers.

correct legal set up for his situation. Also finding a secured,
gated place to live, etc. For sure their life is going to change.
My brother and I joke that, were one of us to win something of the sort, the code for declaring it would be, "I have bad news. Our problems have just begun…"
Good for the one who won it but I would change name and move before people come out of the wood work to ask you remember me.

This means I didn’t win. I forgot to look at my ticket. Bummer. I was counting on that half billion.
But if the government wants to be a bookie, they ought to pay off their bets.

I know this is smart advice, yet I would be afraid of waiting that long to cash in the ticket. Anything could happen in a few weeks that could cause one to lose the ticket. Many is the time we’ve all lost some sort of slips of paper that were important, but not worth 500 million dollars. I think I’d cash in the ticket the very second I learned I won, then get the legal set up afterwards.
I would be much happier winning $5m, than I would one of these mega jackpots.
You incorporate before you turn in your winning ticket.

Thats impossible. Those numbers dont match the winning numbers on my ticket. ;-)

On the other hand, if you don’t buy lottery tickets your chance of losing money on the lottery is zero, otherwise it is near one hundred percent, something like 99.999999 per cent.
I knew a guy who won $4.5 million. He made a string of very bad decisions that just made you want to cross your eyes.
Ended up broke.
He got $17,500 per month (25 years ago!) What a waste.
True, but what else can you do for $2 these days?
If everyone knows you won 500 million you did it wrong. It’s not difficult to make it fairly anonymous.
Most states require disclosure of the winner’s name.

So the official name of the winner would be XYZ LLC or something similar. Look up past winners, there are quite a few limited liability corporations listed there.
