President Donald Trump on Tuesday suggested that Hillary Clinton’s longtime aide, Huma Abedin, should be jailed after the State Department’s release last week of classified emails found on the laptop of Abedin’s estranged husband, Anthony Weiner.
“Crooked Hillary Clinton’s top aid [sic], Huma Abedin, has been accused of disregarding basic security protocols. She put Classified Passwords into the hands of foreign agents,” the president wrote on Twitter. “Remember sailors [sic] pictures on submarine? Jail! Deep State Justice Dept must finally act? Also on Comey & others.”
The emails to which Trump referred, released last week in response to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed by the conservative group Judicial Watch, were the same batch uncovered during the final weeks of the 2016 presidential election. The FBI’s disclosure to Congress that it was examining the emails in relation to its closed investigation of Clinton’s use of a personal email server during her tenure as secretary of state offered Trump a powerful line of attack in the 2016 campaign’s closing days, and Clinton has blamed her loss in large part on the FBI’s resurfacing of the email scandal.
A spokesperson for Clinton did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

At a minimum, Sessions should bring charges.
I don’t understand why Trump Tweets anything about what the FBI or DOJ should do. They work for him. Instead of Tweeting, why isn’t he on the phone asking them if they have enough evidence to indict? If so, instruct them to do so. If not, Tweet about things he can’t directly manage, like CNN and their anti-Trump “news.”
Charge her, threaten her with extensive jail time, and then offer her a deal if she rats out Hillary, Obama and everyone else who needs convicting.
Then she can forever after be known as Huma the Bull.

he’s had this information for a year. he’s dripping it all price by piece as he’s planned a long time ago.
Anyone attending a future Trump rally needs to start a “fire Sessions!” chant.
Trump should not have said this, even if it is true.
He has pretty much guaranteed that any conviction could be overturned on appeal, because he tainted the process.
Funny how the media is quiet over this. Had it been Kellyanne, it would be the top story everywhere.
Because they aren’t doing their job so his tweets shine a light on them.
Misleading headline.
Trump uses the word Jail to describe what happened to the sailor, not what they should do to Huma.

We have all seen Mr. “You’re fired!” at work. It’s hard to believe Trump would shame a non-performing employee. I find it hard to believe President Trump would accept anything less than stellar performance from an employee. All those cabinet officers serve at the pleasure of the President. Given that, I really don’t understand why he’s Tweeting about them, as opposed to things he can’t control, like the Iranian situation or North Korea.
Offer her amnesty, and see how fast she turns on Hillary.
